I lost to a Real Winner!

Hi folks on the eve of the announcements of this Year's 8 Finalists for the $25,000 Year end prize I can not help but reflect back to my own 15 minutes of fame!

In December of 2007 I won $1,000 for my Fitness Transformation. You see back then each age group 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50+ each had a 1k winner. One for each sex and then there was a best in class each month so two of those winners one man and one woman each won an additional 9k for total of $10,000!

Wow that still sounds like a lot of money! Here is the announcement for that month:

I was and still am Very honored to be nominated to be a Monthly winner of that 30 yr age group! There was a huge competition that year especially in the 30 yr old group! It was also very special to me to win this particular month with my buddy Lee Solon Ratterman that I had filmed an infomercial for 10 Min Trainer with! But, yes still some small part of me was a tad disappointed that I was not the 10K winner.

When I saw the man that won I was fine with settling for second place! David Keenan had already lost at that point 162 lbs, 27% Body fat and 22 inches from his waste! There was no way my results could compete with that! So I was not so sad to loose to such an accomplished story!

Well time went on and I never thought that much about it. Mentally there is always a difference between the 10 k winners and the 1 k winners so at some of the events that I would go to. The 10k folks would get a bit more attention than I did. No problem really but I kind of wanted to shout out that I lost to a guy who dropped 160 lbs!

2 years later I am on an airplane. One of my very last trips home before I was able to leave my job to become a full time Team Beach Body Coach (Yes Coaching is for Real!) and who do I see in my People magazine! None other than our ole friend Dave Keenan! I nearly jumped outta of my plane seat and I scared the nice woman sitting next to me! Sorry Nice lady. I could not really explain the entire story to her, but there was Dave who had defeated me for the 10k right in my lap!

Here is the article from People:

http://www.people.com/people/package/gallery/0,,20332412_20333526_20720279,00.html#20720279

Then like a week later I see him appear on the Today show!

"Half Their Size"

Today I notice that Beach Body has his image right up there on the front page of their website right next to last years $250,000 winner!

http://www.beachbody.com/jump.do?itemType=HOME_PAGE

Again not a big surprise for me because I knew how great this guy's story was. Now it seems the rest of the world is just catching with me!

Congrats David! U deserve all the accolades! U did all the Heavy Lifting! (pun intended)

Can Fitness be fun?

Can we make fitness fun?

Well one of my Diamond+ coaches in Hawaii sent me this picture today on FB! And OMG I just love what she is doing!

This is 80's style dress fitness party! There are about 20 pictures in this album and not one face without a smile! This is a great new twist on home parties and making a dreaded workout a great time!

Ok Let's Start Walking!

I have promised now for some time that I am going to start this training program called "Walk with Me to Diamond"!

It is not finished yet! But I have begun to walk!

U see I was just awarded a Third center (Coaching Account) when I went 2 Star Diamond in my Second Center THX to Marlene and Jeffrey! And in the process won Top Coach fall 2009 Region #1! :0)

Well I have sat on that account until this last week!

U see as of Tuesday morning I am a Full Time Beach Body Coach! So this week I have started to work on my Third center!

But as I develop a new Account so can U!

My new account has 2 clients and 1 coach now!

I am starting from the same place if not further back than all of U! Now I will make this center a diamond account! But if U follow along and do what I do then U can become diamond too!

So with that being said. What did I do this week to get 2 clients and a coach?

1) I became active. I got off the coaching couch (to use a fitness phrase) and I started to work! Mostly just getting my email list going and back on social networks! Yes FaceBook!

- I simply got my email list back together on GoDaddy. I have a domain name there www.PuckHead.org which cam with an email account so I have a list there of all of my downline coaches. As I email my PS coaches they can use those emails and forward them to their PS coaches and so on and so on! That way i do a little work and lots of folks can use it!

- FaceBook is amazing! So many folks online every day just starting a program or another! Simply pick out Ur program go to lists, groups, people who are also doing that workout find new friends just starting a program and see what happens! If Ur truly just being a friend U will be amazed at how appreciative they will be! Maybe they will enjoy helping others too and eventually become a coach too!

I developed a New Coach Welcome letter as listed below in a previous post where all new coach can get all the info they need to move on their new business! As a coach trying to Walk with Me go over that email Ur self! make sure U have done all the tasks! How can U do a great Getting started Right interview if U have never done one with Ur coach yet?

Do the New Coach Welcome Email!

And my latest task has been to start making and organizing some demos. U see I have done lost of the coaching tasks over and over! But not all of U have! If I do a task over and over it is worth my time to make a document showing all of U how to do it too! So I made one today:

http://headlineage.angelfire.com/Demos/Domain_Forwarding_at_GoDaddy.pdf

Here are some others that I already had done!

http://headlineage.angelfire.com/Demos/Setup_Screen_Name_Instructions.pdf
http://headlineage.angelfire.com/Demos/Login_n_PassWord_Reset.pdf

Now my intention is to make several more of these to help more coaches see how to do more of these common tasks! So just pay attention!

Next:

Customizing my Team Beach Body Webpage with a picture and a Phone number so that if folks do find my website they know who there are talking to and how to reach me!

Here is a great guide on how to do that:

http://headlineage.angelfire.com/Demos/Setup_Screen_Name_Instructions.pdf

I also had done a previous blog on this subject so just follow along with me and let's see how close to diamond we can get!

Folks several of these recent and future blog posts are on coaching! As that is one of the thing in my life that I am most passionate about! Not so much recruiting but on how to do it properly as I see.

If Ur not already a Team Beach Body coach and would like to consider it. Well then please consider joining as a member of our team! We have a great Team with Huge growth! I have learned in the last three years what I feel is the best way to build a successful team so stop by today and get some info on becoming the latest on a team of passionate individuals committed to helping folks accomplish their fitness dreams!

Let's Get Started Right!

Last night I took about 4 hours to review what a new coach is recommended to do!

I got a great Welcome email template form another great coach! I tried to sit down and do what we were asking myself and I was confused.

I think the answer is not more info it is easier bit size pieces! My new email Welcome letter is not perfect yet it is still way too long! But it is doable! It makes sense in terms of order and flow. I try not to repeat any info, but still show all the basics!

If a new coach gets this email they instantly know how to get started!

Now we all know I am not the best speller and my grammer is about as god as U can expect from an engineer with a C+ average in English.

But if we focus on the content and not the form. It is a great document!

I would like all of my coaches to go over it again as a review! Refine it and pass it on to Ur coaches to review also! Every new coach we sign up should be getting right away and all old coaches should go through it to make sure their foundation is strong!

No I have made this document with our team in mind! But I want all of us to have great success wit this company! If U are not a down line coach just send me an email or give me a call and I will be happy to share!

Coach@JasonDiebold.com

678-361-410

Let's get everyone started right! I received this emial from another great coach not to be nammed Mark Briggs! I made it my own and now I pass it on to U to make even better!

Working and Working Out!

Well here I am 3 days into what was supposed to me my first week as a fulltime coach and I am still at the office. I simply have to wait for some expenses to clear and some paperwork to be filed but it will come soon!

So in the mean time I am enjoying getting paid with very little to do! Today I worked on my taxes had a doctors check up and bought a climbing rope for the apt! This is the time we should all be given to slow things down every once in a while!

Meanwhile my workouts are doing good ( getting ready for Hawaii) and my business continues to grom! One of my coaches today met with a member of the US house of representatives to see if she can help promote health in her district. Another downline Coach of mine David Lee in Hawaii just qualified for diamond! Congrats David! It is amazing to watch our team grow (7 this week) when I personally have been in a bit of a slump. I am working on more tools for our coaches and helping their needs than my own. But, that is very rewarding! Just today I helped to save two great positions in the company from folks that wanted to quit! Instead of cancelling they simply filled out the transfer form and saved downlines of 27 and 34 for other folks that are excited about coaching!

It is very rewarding to help other newwer coaches! U can't help someone up a hill without getting elevated your self!

Thx folks for helping to fight the good fight and promote healthy lifestyles!

Day 1 Full Time Coach!

Today is my last day of "Work".

I remember becoming a coach to help folks. I did not know that we got paid because back in 2003 when I first started power 90 "coaches" did not get paid. My secret motivation was to inspire someone else with my results. Now that does not seem like a crazy goal but then it was! I was a fat guy that played video games worked too much and drank beer to fall asleep every night who's wife had just taken his sob and left him. So honestly inspiring that first person (Travis) was a huge milestone for me!

After a few months of coaching I had only made $3.64. But when I went to my first Tony camp in July 2007 I met folks making hundreds and thousands a week! This inspired me to try to bring it with my business!

In less than 30 days from camp I was Emerald and had earned 2 checks over $50! I decided then that some day I would make this my full time gig!

Some would claim that this is a greed for money! No, one thousand times no! In fact I am giving up over 100k salary to earn just enough to get by. But, what I have earned on the last three years is the ability and time to do this business the way that I know it needs to be done! I am full of ideas to help folks with fitness but I have always lacked the time to implement them all!

Now I can work this business 24/7! So watch out or better yet come along with me! Set Ur goals and timelines! In time with effort u can become part of this full time solution too!

My new career will begin with a new Head Lineage page for reckognition and a new program to train our coaches called "Walk with me to Diamond".

In short thank you for helping to make this additional commitment possible and now let's really bring it!

LA Diamonds

Ok, two things!

In September (2007) I was given the opportunity to become a full time coach! That is just a nice way to say that I was fired! I was fine with that. Beach Body called me to ask me to film an infomercial for Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer. I jumped at the chance! Just asked Alvin who called me! ha ha. He was amazed that I was not concerned about per Diem, taxi fares, or even what airports I would use to travel there!

Right before I left work informed me that I did not have to worry about rushing back! In fact i did not need to come back at all! The weird thing was that I was fine with that! I had stopped working months before and had pretty much taken to becoming a full time recruiter to anyone on MySpace (www.MySpace.com/jdiebold) who would listen to me rant on about Beach Body! I was not making any money from it, ... yet, but I was having so much fun talking about these fitness products that had changed my life so much that when it came to a decision between talking about that and working. I chose the Beach Body Chats! Work at that point to me felt like an endless pursuit of a carrot dangling just out of my reach while I was running on a treadmill! It was just an endless series of wait until A happens quickly followed by another wait until say B happens. Each of which option would have made us all Millionaires. But eventually I realized that paycheck to paycheck with no benefits was not worth chasing some imaginary goal! It is hard to wake up every day to help revolutionize an industry that U don't think is necessary. I really did not enjoy promoting the idea that more pills is the solution to a healthier person. I would categorize that as being more a part of the problem than of the solution!

Any who I was laid off! Or fired maybe I forget? What really is the difference? I was given a chance to pursue other passions! So I did! For the next four months I traveled any where Beach Body or Million Dollar Body was having an event! I had some savings! I was super passionate about MDB and I wanted to meet all the Super Stars in the company to see what they were doing! It was the kind of mini retirement that most folks will never have the common sense to experience! I loved it! Most of U know the story already but I went to Vegas to hear Carl Daikeler speak at Coach Coach's MDB event there! My guy ChefHead was also a featured speaker at the event so U know that I had o be there for that! After the event ChefHead and I decided that we needed Body by P90X tattoos! So we did it! THX Chef! If U ever need a good buddy to get Ur first Tattoo with Bob is Ur man!

After Vegas was PHX! I went to Support and learn from My Queen Monica, and her side kick, my girl Lee!

PHX was great I went hiking with JoLoe, meet a beautiful girl in a karaoke bar, saw Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West, fixed up my rental property in Mesa a bit! Signed up my buddy TrailHead as a coach! Enjoyed maybe the best hike of my life with him in Strawberry AZ! Took some acting lessons and generally spent a lot of time managing my ebay sales of Bach Body products (While it was still legal). Talk about a time waster! Come to think of it. It was a pretty active retirement! Now that I look back. That is what retirement should be. An endless long day full of exciting fun filled adventures!

After PHX was Chicago again I think then I hitched a ride back to Michigan for Christmas! Ahhh Michigan brings back Memories of Hockey games, Aussies, Crazy Hot Fitness Teacher!, group workouts, SnowMen, Hatch & Faith Heads, Breathe-2AM, Honesty and Red! I had an HS Alumni Hockey game and spent another NewYears at my favorite pace to bring n any new year with my best friend!

By the time January rolled around the dojo was complete and I spent some time entertaining Cheerleaders and poets! Lots of late nights at Nail Salons and The Movie Tavern! All the while working out getting in the beast shape of my life. Building my Business and taping damn near every step I took for either the December win, the P90X Infomercial, Or the Year End Contest!

The point of all this brain spilling is that I eventually ran out of money! And I had to get a job! I went back to what I am good at and get paid the most to do! Automation, the ability of a computer to replace the jobs of ten men! : ( Not really something I am super proud of but it pays the bills. I mean if U have ever checked any luggage on United at Denver International or Chicago O'Hare, or on any airline in Buffalo NY then Ur bag gets directed by my code which I guess is an honest enough way to make a living, but again I have lost passion for it a long time ago! Funny how I can say that while I am sitting here blogging underneath NYC JFK airport for some exaggerated standby requirement! Now I do it just to pay the bills and it does that well!

So faced with the need to get a job in the Automation industry on short notice, as money was running out quick. I did what any proud American laborer would do! I went crawling back to all my former employers! Brock offered me Las Vegas (they did not even recognize me I had gotten in such great shape), Col Pipe wanted me to move back to GA (Um hell no, I hate the city and my X), CLI wanted me to come back to PHX full time but I had already seen where that road would lead. Siemens had LAX coming up! I liked the sound of LAX (Beach Workouts and Sunny weather) and I believe that Siemens has a superior product to represent! So I took Siemens! I just had to do this small little gig in Buffalo until the LAX job started up in full swing! No problem right? Well through 2 or 3 folks that quit I eventually became the On Site Project Leader. Whoopee right? Alvin was impressed! Well Buffalo stole the soul out of me again! Yes Siemens pays for me to travel every few weeks and I was able to go visit LA a few times, attend several Tony Horton camps and visit some more family and friends but the long hours that Buffalo demanded was tearing the heart outta me and making me in to a not so happy person again. Through the busiest 8 months in Buffalo I signed up maybe 2 coaches? My heart was really in the wrong place! As I watched several much newer coaches obtain much higher ranks than I had achieved I fell further and further out of the Coaching loop!

Then came Barbie! On another one of those free trips home to attend another Team Beach Body event in Dallas I meet Barbie! We started talking! Barbie was not quite officially diamond yet! But, she showed me what I wanted my coaching business to be! She gave me an energy for coaching that I had never known! Our competitive nature forced us to playfully compete against each other for higher coaching achievements! Now just 4 months later we are both strong Double Diamonds, my second CBC is about to go Diamond, and she is breathes away from 5 Star Diamond with a very minimal amount of PS coaches! We are both back in the coaching realm big time! Beach Body even asked the two of us on a complete coincidence to be guest speakers on the same opportunity call!

But other wise my job was still killing me! A year in Western New York State has taught me one thing! I hate Buffalo! It is a "wicked little town" in every sense of the word! Yeah it was nice to see the falls, the people are nice enough and the summers were pretty much ok. But the winters suck! I spend the majority of my few hours away from work either shivering behind a coaching computer or huddle in bed with he heat on high! U see when I first got to NY last year the weather was getting better every day and I just knew that I was leaving before the next winter. That coupled with the excitement of my weekender trips was enough to get bye. But when winter came again I was bummed out big time!

And then when almost all hopes are abandoned my supervisor offers me LAX again immediately! do not pass go do not collect 2 hundred dollars. Simply move to LA.

: )

Is about all I can say!

So next week I pack up and drive back to Dallas. I have accumulated a surprisingly large amount of krap in a hotel room in the last 12 months! From there out to LA! I think I am going to take my bright Yellow Jeep! Why not right? Maybe I will make an event of it? "Working Out My Way to LA"? Stop in every city with a coach or buddy and do a workout in their house? One a day or so! No more than two a day! Well whatever! I am day dreaming of my new apartment in Marina Del Ray and RollerBlading on the Beach!

A Buffalo workout!

Hi all,

Puck Here. I recently helped to host a local group workout here in Buffalo! It started because a client of mine was going to be in town to catch a flight! before U know it we turned it into a night of fitness and fun for 7 like minded folks!

U see this is all it takes is a willingness to try! To step out out of Ur comfort zone a bit and get folks together for a common good! If U build it they will come!

I was amazed when after we posted some of the pictures of the event what a great response that we got from the pics!

IMG_5670.jpg picture by diebjt
After posting this one, One of the Sunday workout Buddies Bobby Stephenson was nice enough to post a comment.

Something he said in his comment lit my fire about how far we had all come! I would like to share that with U too!

Bobby.jpg picture by diebjt

I went on to say:

And well Barbie has become one of the Best Fitness Coaches that I have ever met.
She has found a whole new side of her self that is great at helping people to become a better version of them selves!
She has transformed herself probably into what qualifies her as a fitness model in the process!

Another amazing part of this is how awesome is it that each one of us was inspired to initially try these fitness products from a few guys on TV jumping around and than now through the process have become friends with the ones that we saw on the TV ads! THX Bobby for being true to the vision and inspiring us all along the way!

Are U reading this for the first time and beginning to understand that this is not a gimmick! These truly are real folks that just bought some DVDs from TV and then have bonded together to help each other achieve their fitness goals. Are U ready to try to for Ur self? Or commit to helping other achieve similar results by becoming a Coach?

Well then just look around! All of us are willing to help U with Ur journey! The Masons have a motto for becoming part of their organization! “To be one ask one”

I would simply encourage U to look around and contact someone who inspires U to help U along Ur own path to success!

Now we are more fires Up about holding Group Workouts and have already scheduled at least two more workouts!

This weekend 11/9/08 in Dallas:

www.XWorkout.BlogSpot.com

and Over ThanksGiving In NY City! affectionately call "The Turkey Burn"!

www.TheTurkeyBurn.BlogSpot.com

So if the idea of fitness and friends appeals to to U then come out and Join us! We can start a grass Roots movement towards better health and fitness for all!

I am loving me some Power 90!

OldPower90.jpg image by diebjt

OK Folks!

Well I admit it I had not done a Power 90 workout in prob a year at least!

Yesterday I did not have enough time for my regularly scheduled P90X workout so I did Power 90 Phase III - IV Sculpt! And it rocked!

But going back to it I noticed quit a few things that I would like to point out!

1) OMG Dreya and Dom do all the demo moves in between sets! I never knew that that was them what was I watching before?

2) Man Tony is doing all the great basic moves in these DVDs! This is truly where he built the library for all the moves that U will see later on in the other programs! This DVD has all the basics that he builds on to in the other DVDs and Prob 75% of all the moves that U will see in P90X with the exception of Pull-ups!

3) They forgot to do worksheets for this workout so it is hard to remember what weight that U should be using! I have built a worksheet for this in Excell! Email me if U want a copy to use for yourself!

4) Free Weights rock! Man the classic cast dumbells with a nice bench is truly the way to go! It is much quicker to select Ur weight and move on to the next move! I tried this workout today with my Power Blocks and it sucked having to change weight back and forth! I long for my cast back! When U are using Cast iron weight that are all nice an organized U can rock though the workouts the way that they were made to be done and get a great cardio workout as well as a muscle building pump!

Here is a pic of my setup at home! I miss my rack!

Weights600-1.jpg image by diebjt

5) The original 10 Min trainer is Power 90 ! These sets are all about 10 min long! If U need a quick full body workout but can't afford to buy the new 10 min Trainer DVDs right now simply just do one set of the Phase III - IV Sculpt DVD! That is a great 10 min workout!

7) Power 90 is the Bread and Butter Workout Program!

Man don't ever forget about Power 90! This is the program that gave so many of us great results! This is the program that U can recommend to any couch potato and they can do it! Let's face it most folks are not ready for P90X right out of the gates! Recommend Power 90 to them and then in 90 days they should be ready for P90X.

If U simply do all 90 days of Power U will be amazed with Ur results! It is not possible to honestly give this program 100% and have it fail U! It works!

6) The Old Beach Body Logo rocks! Maybe I am just too retro But I love this old logo! I was lucky enough to be gifted a pin with this logo and it it just so so sweet!

Welcome - Who is dis PuckHead Guy AnyWho?

Ok, first I want to introduce myself a bit!

I was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan and went to MTU.

I have lived in MI, AZ, FL, IL, GA, Germany, and now TX & Buffalo.

I started Power 90 Thanksgiving of 2006. I did 120 days of P90. As of today I am on, like my 5th round of the X (P90X)!

I started Coaching in May of 2007. I told myself that I was only going to begin if I started to get the kind of results that inspired other folks! I was first blessed with one such opportunity when Travis emailed me and asked about how I got my results. I was not too sure I was ready but his faith in me made me jump in with both feet! I did not know anything about coaching yet, I did not know that there was money involved, I was not where I wanted to be fitness wise, Heck I did not even have a coach myself yet! But, the idea of helping others with the fitness products that I am so passionate about was too great for me to pass up and longer. Thanks for the inspiration Travis! Now he is becoming his own success story and has signed up to become a coach too!

I decided to be a coach I shopped around a bit. I emailed all of the all stars that had motivated my along my path. Everyone was awesome quick at responding and very helpful and informative too. But, one man stood out from the rest to me! (Please choose the Coach that speaks to your heart the most! We are all very knowledgeable and passionate about what we do. The most of important thing is to find one of us speaks the language that you can understand the best!) Aaron has been a blessing to me and my coaching career! I could not have asked for a better mentor!

In June of 2007 I went to the first MDB event in Dallas, TX. I was luck enough to meet too more of my idols! Robert and Charlene! THX folks! The fact that they knew my name from email and the boards alone was very comforting and supportive. If not for those two and that event I may have never truly embraced the full opportunities that coaching has to offer.

<span class=

Get to a MDB / Team Beach Body Event! They are all over the country now and it can truly change Ur life. It has mine! Cancel what ever plans U have for that day and go! Do yourself a favor and take two friends with U! U will most likely come away from the event as an Emerald!

July of 2007 I decided at the last min to go to Tony's camp in UpState New York!
